Meal Applications

The Red Clay Consolidated School District takes part in the National School Lunch Program/School Breakfast Program/After School Snack Program. Nutritious meals are served every school day. All meals served must meet nutrition standards established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. 

Several Red Clay Schools participate in the Community Eligibility Provision Program, where all students enrolled are eligible to receive a breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE to all students in qualifying schools.  For a list of Red Clay Schools participating in the CEP program and to learn more about the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, Click Here.

For Red Clay Schools not participating in the CEP program, elementary students may buy lunch for $1.50 and breakfast for $0.75. Secondary students may buy lunch for $1.75 and breakfast for $0.90. You may prepay for school meals through our online payment system, PayPams (click here) or by sending money or check to the school cafeteria. Please make checks payable to Red Clay Nutrition Services.

Families who may be eligible for free or reduced priced meals can apply by completing the Meal Benefit Form as soon as possible and returning it to your child’s school. Only complete one application per family. If you have a child receiving free or reduced meals because they attend a school participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, you will still need to submit a MBF if you have a child who attends a NON-CEP school. The information provided on the MBF will be used to determine or prove your child's eligibility for free or reduced-priced meals. This information may also be used for other state or federally funded school benefits. Children from households that meet Federal Income Guidelines who are eligible for reduced priced meals will not be charged the reduced price meal fee as a new department policy.

Factors considered in the application process are household size and total household income. HOUSEHOLD SIZE is considered all persons, related or unrelated: Including parents, children, grandparents who live in your home and share living expenses – DO INCLUDE FOSTER CHILDREN. The TOTAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME is the income each household member received last month before taxes - this includes wages, social security, pension, unemployment, welfare, child support, alimony, and any other cash income.
