We are pleased to inform you that the below list of Red Clay schools will be implementing a new program available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision effective beginning the 2014-2015 school year. The Community Eligibility Provision was enacted as a result of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act 2010 and provides universal mealservices to students in schools/districts that qualify. The Community Eligibility Provision is an alternative to collecting, approving, and verifying household eligibility applications for free and reduced price meal benefits.

What does this mean for you and your children attending one of the below listed schools?

All enrolled students are eligible to receive a nutritious breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household.  No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a meal benefit form. Students will continue to be able to purchase second entrees or a la carte items from the school cafeteria by accessing funds in their accounts.  Student account balances can be replenished by using our online payment system or by sending check or cash to the school cafeteria.

If you have another child in the household that attends a Red Clay school that is not participating in the Community Eligibility Program and you would like to apply for free or reduced priced meals for that child, you will need to complete a Meal Benefit Form.  Please do not forget to list all children in the household on this Meal Benefit Form.  Meal Benefit Forms can be obtained from the School Office, online at, or by calling the Nutrition Services Office at (302)-992-5580.
